Last night, my daughter and I attended Christmas in Song at the Quality Hill Playhouse in Kansas City. It was an amazing night of eclectic Carols, both familiar and obscure. The four talented professionals sang with such beauty and grace, I could not help but feel wave after wave of Love flowing through my body. To say the evening was magical is really an understatement. I came in loving. I left fully aware that I Am Love. There is an interesting phenomenon, I have noticed on several occasions in my life; that when in the presence of someone, overflowing with love, everyone is affected, knowingly or unknowingly. Last night, two of the singers were "working." Experts at their craft, they shared finely tuned voices and well articulated lyrics. The other two, shared more than just years of training and professional talent; they shared their love for this manner of expressing Life itself. There is a difference between the two; a significant, palpable, energetic distinction, perceived easily by the empathic, but noticeably experienced by all. We have all felt and observed this difference. It can be experienced anywhere, anytime that individuals or groups publicly display their gifts and talents. Those who genuinely love, that which they share, radiate that love though their actions. In other words, the singer "In-Love" shares not only the gift of a well-tuned voice, but that music is broadcast on waves of this love. The notes may be heard the same by the auditory system, but the energy is felt entirely differently. I noticed this phenomena years ago when watching my daughters annual dance recitals. Some kids danced, not only the steps they had been taught; but with the music playing within themselves. Their smiles were real; their enjoyment of the moment undeniable. Other kids danced the steps as they learned them. They moved as instructed, but without the love for dance that the joy-filled kids embraced. The two dancers could look the same, follow the exact same choreography, perform their graceful movements with similar expertise, but one would touch your heart and one would simply earn your praise. Two of these singers, last night, sang from a place of joy which transcended the fact that this was their form of employment. Their energetic gifts resonated with me as pure Love. The other two were very skilled and I was moved by their performances, but they were working at their chosen craft, and even though they were exceptionally talented, the fact that this was "work" was felt in my heart. Today, I will carry the joy, I felt last night, into all that I do. At least this is my intention. I do not know that Elaine Fox will ever read this blog, but I am sending out a special thank you, to her, for her performance last night. She, literally, took my breath away as she shared her chosen method of Expressing Love with us. Elaine, you bless the entire planet when you share the Love you are! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This year's PBR will centre on the Chancellor's latest forecasts for the economy and how he will cut the projected £175bn deficit for this year. Today we get some mood music ahead of that statement with the Prime Minister unveiling a new round of 'efficiency savings' for central Government worth around £12bn over the next four years …so a drop in the current ocean of debt. We'll hear from the Chief Secretary to the Treasury Liam Byrne and we're chasing an interview with the Tory Treasury team. Also today, day one of the Climate Conference in Copenhagen - this summit over a week ends up with a game of deal or no deal with the world's leaders, we'll have the latest. Also as relations deteriorate between Labour and the Murdoch empire, we'll be looking at just how important the Sun will be come the next election and just how close the Tories are getting to Murdoch on policy. And for all of you fed up with cycling mayhem, how one council plans to enforce the Highway Code by giving its own staff the power to issue fixed penalty notices. Retail Decisions estimates that the combined days' sales of $5.3 billion reflects an increase of 47 percent over those last year, and indicates renewed consumer confidence in the economy. Interestingly, Retail Decisions found that online sales on Cyber Monday - traditionally the second busiest online shopping day in the U.S. behind Black Friday (the day after the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday) - peaked at between 1pm and 2pm EST, with over $147 million transacted in just that hour. What accounted for the surge in consumer spending? According to Retail Decisions CEO, Carl Clump: "Online retailers started discounting heavily on Black Friday, luring consumers with cash back offers, free shipping and special deals on the most popular products. Whilst Black Friday was by far the busiest day, retailers continued to compete for sales on Cyber Monday as shoppers scooped online deals." Retail Decisions found that the top 10 selling consumer products online on Black Friday and Cyber Monday were: 1. TomTom GPS Navigation System 2. Kodak Digital Camera 3. Nintendo Wii 4. Ice Age 3 5. Go here to watch the video and download all the freebies: ==> http://www.kikabink.com/offers/commissionpayload ========================= KIKABINK LAB ======================== "PPC Advertising: Four Tips For Raising Your Google Keyword Quality Score" --------------------------------------- Writing in the Search Marketing Standard, Chris Stiner has provided four great tips for paid search marketers wanting to raise their keyword quality scores and have their ads rank higher, for less cost, in the paid search listings on Google. Apart from click-through rate and competitive bidding, the per-click cost of buying a keyword on Google Adwords is essentially determined by its quality score. Google calculates the quality score for a given keyword based on the landing page that a Google search engine user sees after clicking on the ad. Chris's four tips are as follows: 1. Relevance - ensure your landing page is relevant to the ad. As you might imagine, this also makes complete sense from a marketing point of view. If someone is searching on 'dog collars' and your ad promotes 'dog collars'... then you want the destination URL i.e. your landing page to highlight dog collars too! It should NOT be your pet store's home page or a catalog page for dog food. Your landing page should clearly match both the ad and the search. 2. Navigation - Chris says your landing page should provide the shortest path possible between the offer or product in your ad and the corresponding offer or product. To this end, you want to avoid having distracting navigational elements or anything - such as pop-ups / pop- unders - that get in the way of the search engine user getting what you promised in your ad. 3. Landing page load time - part of optimizing your landing page navigation is to ensure a minimal load time. Again, this makes practical sense too - the longer people have to wait to see your page, the more likely they'll be to leave without waiting. 4. Transparency - according to Chris Stiner, you also want to provide helpful information about your business to your visitors. This may involve providing links to 'about us' or 'contact us' pages, as well as your privacy policy and legal terms. Interestingly, Chris is adamant that you should not require people to register (i.e. fill in a form) to see more content on your website as this reduces trust and will negatively impact your quality score. This principle doesn't apply in all cases, though. As many direct response Internet marketers will attest, it's certainly possible to have an optin form on your landing page and still have a healthy quality score. In these cases, the extent to which you can require visitors to go through a registration or optin form largely depends on how well you've followed the other principles of relevance, navigation and landing page load time.
